Life In Kapit

Will u ever see this happened in your town? This happened in everyday lives of many Kapit folks who never tires voting for BN. For many of us buying a motorcycle is just going to the shop, sign an agreement, then ride the motorcycle home..but not to Kapit people. The motorcycle have to be transported by express boat to Kapit..and behold....some 'coolies' will carry it on their backs from the express boat onto the wharf.

Luckily during this photo shot..the tide is high and it take less effort by this two coolies to carry the bike onto the wharf. Imaging their perils if the tide is low.

On the other perspective..it does seem funny...because before anyone ride these bikes...these bikes 'rides' first... but what attracted me most is...how these coolies (a lot of them at the wharf) struggle to earn their living....

It goes to say...in Malaysia you can earned an honest living if you try...

..after watching this..i was wondering what the hell are the teachers and other government officers complaining about??...these coolies only earned a meagre RM4.00 or less...per load..rain or shine.. some of us are sitting in air conditioning room...with proper tables and chairs..and the teachers..some are juz teaching for a few hours...and some are making thousand of ringgits giving tuition...yet that's still not enough...

I might be late in commenting this post. But this is a great job, transpired the real life of some people in Kapit. The life overthere is never been change from the hardship. I grown up in Kapit, but manage to come out from that pity environment. When i in BTU my life is in year of 2009, but if i in Kapit i don't know where year my life is in, but for sure not in year of 2009, i could say i will still in year of 89. Anyway, thank you to SMK Kapit because that was the place where i manage to create my fundamental stronger to come out from the stupid hardship deliberately overlook by BN. After i completing my degree, i not returning back to Kapit, in fact since past 7 years 99% my family member migrate to Johor, where they can work with better income in Singapore or Johor, and they manage to buy house, apartment and cars over there. If still in Kapit, what this talent can be transleted into, except, vote for zero to the BN, the government that never try to change the kapit "unsafe" Wharf (one challenge i give to BN here, for them to change the wharf, to be more safe, easy to access, easy for longboat users, easy for everybody).
