Malaysia Oh Malaysia

UAE thrashed or should i say humiliated Malaysia 5-0 in the 2011 Asian Cup Qualifying Group C just showed how bad our football standard is. Being a football fan the result was just very very humiliating!. Yet Sathianathan asked the night before what is failure ? Well Sathianathan in the world of football..failure means not qualifying for the Finals of Asian Cup, not winning the AFF Suzuki Cup..and worse....Sathia oh Sathia...failure means...not able to raise the standard of football thus Malaysia only rank no.156 in the world!!. Why should FAM keep Sathianathan? If we can't even make the cut for the Asian Cup Finals...do not even dream to be in the World Cup in Year 2018 as predicted by the so called football expert. With our present standard we cannot even beat even our own neighbours...or the ASEAN countries...nor the Asian nations that boast the quality and highly skill Koreans, Japanese and Chinese.

Many Falls Victim to Scam

Everyday i read and listened to news about people being scam or in other words 'fooled' by unknown person or persons..losing thousands of ringgits. These scam operated either through sms or emails or phone calls...yet our peoples trust and followed these 'scammers' instructions to deposited certain amount of monies in an unknown account..only realising that they're being 'fooled' days later!
It makes me wonder .. the 'scammers' could be casting 'magic spells' to enable them fooling many victims. Otherwise how would a sane and sound person believed that he/she had won a prize amounting to million ringgits yet he have to deposit his/her own money first before he/she could claim the prize....
I just wish to share this because lately these 'scammers' are using emails and i had received many..especially from the African region...i do not know how they got my email address but i do know what they're trying to do. The content is absurd! If you are imprisoned and have no access to anythings how could you send emails..using the internet..sending your pictures ? And i was told they have millions..to be deposited in my account..because they could not access to it..because it is in another foreign account...they need help to get that millions...and it will be shared! Would you share your millions to an unknown person..a foreigner? Come on!! Lets' us use logical thinking and common sense. Don't be too greedy. Because it was greed that caused many people to be their victims. Beware of these.

Kuala Terengganu By-Election : A Lesson Learned

BN should by now learned their lesson with their defeat in the Kuala Terengganu By-Election. Their promised of continuity was thrown in their face by the voters who prefered the PAS candidate. A promise to appoint the BN candidate as a deputy minister was met with retaliation by many as if there is no other MP's suitable enough to be Deputy Education Minsiter besides UMNO. A publicity stunt depicting comments from PAS members ' supposedly' supporting BN candidate and 'crossing over to UMNO' was an 'old trick' that backfired many times over.

As Khairy Jamaluddin said "the KT by-election defeat to PAS should be looked at from various angles and not just at the candidate " contradict comment from George Chan who said "when you have a 50:50 chance. personlaity becomes important as a candidate who could win the hearts and minds of the voters would be the one considered effective".

The issue of personality was raised by many but BN would never listened. As in the case of Sarawak, much have been said but still candidates are picked by the king, not the masses and its'not surprising that some of the Kings' men never make it..as the masses are the one who determined their fate.

Water Water Everywhere

Year 2009 started with Sarawak flooding in many areas and many people was caught off guard. Not the biggest of flood that caused major damages to properties or lives but still it is something the government should seriously look into. The combination of high tide and heavy rain for three days shock many especially those badly hit areas like Bau, Lundu and even Kuching City folks, not to mention those in Sibu whose areas are flood pronged during these wet seasons.
On 13th January, as I was driving back to Kuching from Sibu I was caught in the flood myself at Serian areas especially the stretch of road from Ranchan Pool to the Serian Bridge. The water level was at 'knee length' and it causes massive jam of about more than 100 vehicles, especially the smaller vehicles. The stretch is only passable to big and heavy vehicles like trucks, four wheelers, buses, trailers and tankers.
From Ranchan Pool to the Serian Bridge, many 'good samaritans' offered help with a price, i.e; RM60.00 for 'pushing', RM100.00 for towing and RM250.00 if your vehicle is put on a specially made towing truck. For kids and youths near the flooded areas its' money making time and so does those company that have special towing trucks and four wheelers. Some drivers braved the flood while others succumbed to the 'offered help' for the sake of safety and their priced vehicles.
What caught my eyes was, there was no Civil Defense team or RELA at the flooded stretch to help stranded motorists. I only saw one police man who tried his best to direct traffic and advise motorist. He told me that he has been there for three days, soaked, cold and has not have his breaks!! As I braved the flood, I saw faces of despair and passing the Serian round about, I saw traffic policemen and some Civil Defense team members chatting happily. What a disgusting sight!
My Q's are what are Civil Defense and RELA set up for then? RELA members could have helped stranded motorist either to 'help push their vehicles through the flood' thus minimising the financial strain of the stranded motorists since RELA do not have heavy machineries such as trucks or lorries to tow their vehicles as the Civil Defense have. Or help to direct the trafffic flow to eased the massive jams, because some vehicles got stranded in the flood due to uncompromising big vehicles drivers. Since the area have suffered many flood before this, why there is no action from the government to 'upgrade' the stretch?

Hishamuddin : Ministry Won't Bow To Threats.

What is wrong using English for sciences and mathematic subjects? I do not forsee any problems as shown during the last PMR results ! What's the fuss all about ? Why the threats? Will it solved our education predicament if we revert to use BM? Either its' English or BM what is more important is the understanding of the subjects. I'm not against anything just wondering what's the fuss all about? If your children further their studies oversea..will their education system change because your children cannot understand English? And who was the person that pushed that subjects to be taught in English in the first place? Are we going to sacrifice our children future just because some 'political so-called expert' said it is not right or it is right ? I salute you Hishamuddin. Stick to your gun, be brave and look forward. Its our children future at stack..not their fathers or mothers!.

Vehicles Using High Intensity Headlamps

Warnings after warnings by the Police and the RTD have been issued to vehicles owner using high intensity headlamps but so far there are still many vehicles owner "immuned" to it as in the case of vehicles using dark windows. How long this "safety campaign"will go on? Will it just "subside" or die out eventually? Till today we can still see cars using these high intensity headlamps and also those with "dark windows" getting away with the law!!. What is worse more cars are custom fitted with the "second headlamps" that really is a "nuisance" to other road users!. Are these "customed fitted"second headlamps" allowed by RTD? Every new car model have it! These "second headlamps" have far worse impact than the "highlight lamps" to other road users.

The Suffering Palestinians

When Bush said, Israel action is justified because they are defending themselves from the terrorism of Hamas, it only cemented my opinion that USA is the big brother of Israel. Whoever is President of America, Israel will still be regarded as "defending themselves"..although the Israelis have tortured and killed thousands of Palestinians since 1947. I am angry seeing night after night of the news, comments and opinions about the Gaza's invasion. The Security Council of the United Nation could do nothing....so what is so United about it..if a lone USA could just veto the decision?. Where are the so called other powerful nations like China or Russia that also have veto powers? And worse..what are the Arab nations doing ? Can't they take out the "Israhell" by being united for ONCE!!. Are they so afraid of Israhell "big brother" that thay just sit and watch? And we in Malaysia..could only just colect donations after donations to help the Palestinians..we ourselves are powerless....to stop the killings....
Hopefully we in Malaysia..regardless of races and religions..learned from these tragedies....and will always preserved the harmony and securities that we have enjoyed for the past 51 years...

A New Landmark for Sarawak

Once completed this new Sarawak State Assembly Building will be a new landmark. The new building signifies the progress and development of Sarawak some 45 years ago through the leadership of the BN government. Some might say it is a waste of money....spending millions just to have a new and modernly equipped DUN building...
Well...for the critics i would like to posed these questions.. Why is that everybody want to change their car for a new model and why some renovated their houses after some years and why some husband took a new wife...or adding more wives..

Remembering Year 2008, Ushering in Year 2009

Happy New Year to everyone and anyone who visit my blog. Much have been said about year 2008. A year to cherish for those who have achieved what they want to achieved and a year to forget for many. Year 2008 saw a change of government in Selangor, Perak, Kedah and Penang and battle of words and wits between BN and PKR. Year 2008 also saw a revival of the once deposed DPM thus thrusting him into the limelight again for many wrong reasons. Year 2008 sadly though saw history repeated with the Bukit Antarabangsa tragedy similarly to the Highland Tower tragedy years ago.
A change happened in America when Barack Obama became the first black American President but alas America's brother, Israel pounded Gaza's days and nights with their bombs injuring many innocent victims..especially children. How Obama react to this situation will determine the fate of many Palestinians and the Muslims worldwide.
